A by-election to the 56th Parliament of the United Kingdom for the constituency area of Sheffield, Brightside and Hillsborough.

Labour hold by Gill Furniss with a majority of 9,590 - 42.5% - on a turnout of 33.0%.

An electorate of 68,439, having a valid vote count of 22,581 and an invalid vote count of 119.
